Stuffed French Toast

Breakfast Recipe: Stuffed Apple French Toast
Ingredients:
8 oz. Lawrence Foods Chunky Apple Topping (121401)
8 oz. Cream Cheese
1 Loaf of Italian Bread
½ cup Milk
4 Large Eggs
2 tsp. Vanilla
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, gently fold the cream cheese into the Chunky Apple Topping. In another mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs and vanilla. Cut the bread into 1-1½” thick slices (8 slices) and then cut each slice half way through to make a pocket. Spoon the fruit topping mixture into the pockets and then close the edges. Place the bread slices on a rimmed baking sheet, and pour the egg mixture over the bread, turning each to coat them evenly. Let rest. Bake for 6-9 minutes in a 450˚F oven until the bottoms are golden brown. Turn over each slice and bake for another 6-9 minutes. Dust each serving with powdered sugar. Yield: 8 Servings
